Tetley Tea Tin

At the beginning of the 19th century, brothers Joseph and Edward Tetley founded Joseph Tetley & Co. in 1837, after successfully selling tea off the back of their pack horse for several years. In 1856, they moved the company to London—then the center of the world's tea trade. This and other fun facts can be found at www.tetleyusa.com

As you can see, the outside of the tin isn't in as rough shape as it could be for such an old tea tin. The inside is a bit rougher. However, if you are going to use this for tea storage, rather than decoration, as with any old tin, put your favorite in a zip bag.

The tin is just over 5 1/4" wide, 3 3/8" deep and is a smidge over 2" tall. It has a hinge lid.

The Blue Tetley Tea Tin is $8.00. To purchase or ask questions please email me Grandma@GrandmaRae.com or call the office 973-664-0986.
